Fuck it, I'm gonna say it. Tyzula/Azutara is the Azula fandom's version of Zukka/Zutara. They are the completely fanon things you cannot criticize, be indifferent to, or even like while acknowledging that they're NOT CANON without people full on harrassing you over it - and I say this as someone who LOVES Tyzula. That's how bad it's gotten.
Why is it that EVERY FUCKING TIME this fandom is becoming tolerable, some headcanon/ship starts being forced down everyone's throats, and even we just stick to our corners of the fandom, don't go looking for content with it, and even go as far as blocking the fucking tag and entitled people it STILL barely changes anything because this fandom seems to believe that harrassing other fans is the way to get writers to change canon.
Also:
1 - "Lesbian Azula" has full on become the new "Awkward Turtle Duck Zuko" - started out like a completely normal, fun thing to explore, and devolved into "Write this character EXACTLY the way I invision them, and if you stray even a little bit from it, I'll fucking cut you"
2 - It's VERY funny how saying "I personally don't headcanon Azula as a lesbian, but you do you" is treated as homophobic, but saying that writing her as bisexual is the same as making her completely straight/doesn't count as making her truly like women is NOT treated as biphobic even though that's EXACTLY what it is.
Ty Zulian and ‘Azula is a lesbian’ people were already like that back in 2017, I’m surprised you’re all just stumbling on their behaviors now.
I question both ‘Awkward Turtleduck Zuko’ and 'Lesbian Azula’ ever being actually fun or interesting honestly because I never actually saw anything fun or interesting said or made with either.
